I just installed version 1.7.0.1 and encounter this message:
“The plugin generated 91 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.”
It causes the following to be included in output on some pages:

<!– The First Div (for body) ends in the respective file for the corresponding tab –>”Same as. And it has caused all plugin updates to now do the same. And I’m unable to update any posts/pages with the following error: Updating failed. The response is not a valid JSON response.
I think the issue I have is exactly the same and had to disable the plugin as I only know how to write blog posts (not a dev).
Will wait a few more days hoping for a fix and if none comes will have to give up and find an alternative.
Shame, I really liked this one. One of the best in this field.
