Problem with map view (overlay)

Hi,

First I have to say this is a great plugin.
Very easy to use but also very powerfull.

Unfortunately I do have a problem whith the map view: under the control tools there is shown a gray area.
Also when I switch to the satellite view with the “Street Overlay” (option “Beschriftung” in German), only the overly is showing, not the satellite picture.

Hi thanks for your compliments 🙂
Your template has a too general css, and they are changing all the images style..
I’ll change my plugin css in order to fix it, check the next version in a couple of days..

Hi Max,
With the new version (1.1.21) the problem is solved.
Now the controls background is transparent plus also the satellite view with street overlay is perfect working.
The only problem I still have is that sometimes (70%) when a page with the map is opened first time, the pictures from the Nextgen gallery are not shown correct. After a refresh this problem is gone.

Anyway, this is the best Google Maps Plugin I’ve seen so far!

First of all: I love the new features. Your plug-in is exactly what I allways wanted for my blog.

Sadly, I still can’t figure out what is causing the overlay problem. It is most obvious in the Satelite Mode (Background color overlay over the satelite img). But even the other modes show problems with other partly transperent objects (like the waypoint pop-up) and are rather slow. The Theme I am using seems to interfere with the map. My last option would be to ditch the theme – but I like it almost as much as your plug in 🙂

The example is still the same, allthough it is the same with any .gxp file (http://www.charowo.net/2012/06/10/horizons-unlimited-germany-spring-meeting-2012/) Version is 1.1.31.

Hi Florian, there is a problem with your theme css,

precisely, at the line 303 of your style.css (http://www.charowo.net/wp-content/themes/diary/style.css)

box-shadow: 0 0 5px 2px #DDDDDD;
padding: 10px;
}

you could add this code after just after the code above:

.post section.postText .wpgpxmaps img, .page section.postText .wpgpxmaps img {
background: none;
padding: 0;
border: none;
box-shadow: none;
}

then clear your browser cache and reload the page..
