Google Reader does not accept my RSS feed when WP-GPX-Maps is enabled. Feed validator (http://feedvalidator.org/) complains about JavaScript in RSS feed. As soon as I remove WP-GPX-Maps tags from my posts Google Reader refreshes my feed.
Any ideas how I could continue using the plugin and still be Google Reader compliant (as most of the iOS RSS clients rely on it).
It seems that in your feed WP-GPX-Maps script is not included. In my feed there is all the same script content that you can see from source code of the html-page in browser (http://takapiha.org/). I wonder why there is this kind of difference between our feeds. I suspect it has something to do with feed settings or difference between themes.
Unfortunately I can’t share realtime feedvalidator results as I want my blog to work with Google Reader. However here is the error message I got from validator:
This feed is valid, but interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendations.
line 49, column 0: content:encoded should not contain script tag
Line 49 is the one which has script type html-tag for WP-GPX-Maps. I can’t embed the actual code as this forum blocks all content with script tags.
Maybe I could bypass this issue by copying the content of the post to excerpt field without WP-GPX-Maps tag and enabling only excerpt for RSS feed in WordPress settings. Could you check your settings?
