    Hi Max

Many thanks for this plugin ! But something is missing for me, hesitating to switch from spip to wp …

I really need to put differents tracks on the same map, but with different colors to identify them (and links to differents articles)

Do you think it is possible :

    – not to fix the color of the track (and take the color in the gpx file) to merge them with different colors in the gpx file (worst solution because no links)

    – or much better : add many tracks onto the same map with for each track it’s own properties ? (then links are possibles)

    Thanks !

Hi, this is already possible with a small amount of work.

You can combine multiple file on a single gpx with a text editor or a visual editor like http://sourceforge.net/projects/gpxeditor/

This is a sample of a multitrack: http://www.devfarm.it/forums/topic/multitrack/

With a gpx editor you can also add a waypoint with a html inside (and links), this site already managed this: http://www.gsnatisone.it/tracciati-gps/

The colors: there is a not official hack to set the color for a multiple track, just set a list of color separated by a space in the color settings, like #3366cc #fff #000 #aaa #FF0000

    Hi,

I would like to show (on bike trail) where there is asphalt, where nonpaved and where sigle trail.

I was thinking for the solution with multitrack and different colours. I tested this hack with colours but it wolud be okey if there was only two options paved or nonpaved 🙂

Max, maybe any idea how to do it?

    Regards,

    Bosti

Thansk for implementing  – center of map 🙂

Ok, from the next plugin version you can set your 2 colors and they would be alternated each track in the map…

You can have the same result putting in the shortcode a long list of colors like

    mlinecolor=”#fff #000 #fff #000 #fff #000 #fff #000 #fff #000 #fff #000″

    So, I could do: mlinecolor=”#paved #asphalt #singletrack #asphalt …….″ ?

With #asphalt, #paved… I mean colours for this type of ground.

    Bosti,

Could you please add the code for the above examples, i’m not very good at php/html/java. If i could see an example script or text of the gpx file, or whatever you used i’m sure i’d be able to figure it out.

    Thanks

For some reason the default color is over-riding any color changes i make to the gpx file. When i bring the gpx file into “CompeGPS Land” i see different line colors (and can change them). Yet when i upload the GPX file after editing in “GPX Editor” or other gpx editing program the colors remain the same throughout unless i insert “mlinecolor=colorname” into the shortcode which then over-rides all colors to make them the same. Any idea as to why this is happening? I am clearing the cache………..

    Thanks

    Al

I don’t know.. maybe your gpx editor has multiple custom attributes for colors and they are not supported from my plugin..
You can set mlinecolor=’#000 #fff #000 #fff’ in the shortcode or yours favourite color sebarated by a space in the admin..

    I use

For a gpx with one track, and it doesn’t show in red.

I’m trying to get it working for multiple tracks such as

    But that doesn’t work either.

Turns out I’m an idiot and wasn’t using “. One thing though,

“Ok, from the next plugin version you can set your 2 colors and they would be alternated each track in the map”

How? If on the settings I put in two colours, for example #88daff #000 for map line colour, click save, it says settings saved and then changes to #000000.
