    I installed the plugin and everything is going fine, except the translation.

    See http://www.destinopueblosdelsur.com/que-hacer/en-acequias/ruinas-de-san-antonio-de-mucuno/

    I’d like the Spanish translation to appear.  The translation files into Spanish (.po y .mo) are in the languages directory of WP-GPX plugin. Is there anything to do?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi, sorry for the late reply.

    If you want to use the spanish translation (es_ES) you should set

    define (‘WPLANG’, ‘es_ES’);

    in your wp-config.php and the plugin should appear in spanish! For further information: http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress_in_Your_Language

    The plugin has a spanish translation, but it might be old.. you can find all files in the /wp-content/plugins/wp-gpx-maps/languages folder

    If it’s still not working you can check your qtranslate setting and set es_ES as default language..

    Hi Max,

    I had a look and define (‘WPLANG’, ‘es_ES’); is set in wp-config.php. Also the qTranslate setting is es-ES. It is still not working. Maybe just the existence of qTranslate is the problem? Any previous experience about that?

    I’ve set define(‘WPLANG’, ‘es_ES’); in this website and the spanish translation is working.. http://www.devfarm.it/forums/topic/map-off/

    can you try to disable qtranslate and see if the translation is working?

    Yes the problem is definetely Qtranslate. If I disable it, the translation works in WP-GPX. Is there a way to fix that?

    Googling I found other guys has the same problem, it seems qtranslate override __() and _e() functions (default wp functions) and it fails to convert default po/mo translations..
    Let me check if I can make my plugin qTranslate compatible..

    If you can do it compatible with Qtranslate, it would be fine, thanks a lot!
