This page explains which personal data devfarm.it collects, why, and how you can control it. The site is run by Bastianon Massimo, the author of WP GPX Maps. Contact: [email protected].
WP GPX Maps Pro waitlist
If you join the waitlist, we keep your email address, the date, the IP address you signed up from and whether you confirmed the address. You first get an email with a link to confirm it; without the confirmation we do not write to you. After that we use the address only to tell you when WP GPX Maps Pro launches, with the launch discount. The legal basis is your consent (the checkbox in the form). The list is stored on this site with the Newsletter plugin, it is not shared with anyone, and it is deleted after the launch email. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask to be removed by writing to the address above.
Comments
When you leave a comment we store the name, email and website you enter, the text of the comment, your IP address and your browser user agent, to show the comment and to stop spam. Comments are checked by Akismet (Automattic), which receives this data to tell spam from real comments. You can ask us to delete your comments and data at any time.
Visit statistics
We count visits with Koko Analytics, a plugin that keeps the statistics on this site and sends nothing to other companies. It uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses or other personal data: only how many times each page is viewed and which site the visit comes from. It helps us understand which pages are useful.
Advertising and cookies
Blog posts show ads from Google AdSense and Amazon (the site earns a commission on purchases made through its Amazon links). Google and Amazon may use cookies and similar technologies to show and measure ads; in the European Union this happens only with your consent, which you can give or refuse in the consent message. More information: how Google uses data in ads. The home page, the plugin pages and the demo trails do not show ads.
Maps and embedded content
Maps load their images (tiles) from OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap, CyclOSM or Mapbox, and videos are embedded from YouTube. These services receive your IP address when your browser loads their content, as when you visit them directly, and are covered by their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to its use, and to withdraw your consent at any time. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
